Man Arrested for Hit and Run Crash in Big Spring Mid-October
Big Spring, TX – Cynthia Martinez died on October 18, 2020, due to a hit-and-run accident on the south service road of I-20 around 7:30 am. It is believed the driver drove an 18-wheeler and did not stop to give aid after hitting Martinez.
About a month later, police arrested the driver. Glen Earl Wilson, 58, was arrested on November 17, 2020. Police charged Wilson with Accident Causing Death, a second-degree felony in Texas. Police arrested Wilson with aid from Texas Rangers, finding him in Corpus Christi. However, the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
Martinez’s visitation was held on October 21, 2020, and the funeral and burial on October 22, 2020. The Stanton Memorial Funeral Home had the services.
