Margret grew up in Lubbock and spent much of her early years in Littlefield, Texas. She earned multiple bachelor’s degrees in English, History, and Political Science from Texas Tech University in 2019, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in writing from Bennington College in 2022.

While earning her degrees, Margret worked in the Texas body shop industry, organizing customer-friendly body shop practices for large-scale collision and repair. She also served as a radio producer and newscaster for KFYO at Townsquare Media.

Margret graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2025 with a specialization in Energy Law, earning top grades in Legal Writing, International Business Transactions, Wind and Solar, and Texas Land Titles. Her written work was utilized to help strengthen the relationship between the Texas and Australian wind and solar sectors.

While in law school, Margret organized students to raise tuition support for West Texas students, and Texas Tech recognized her with its Excellence in Volunteering award for more than 200 hours of service in local communities in one year.
