Texas DPS Investigates If Alcohol is Involved in Terry County School Bus Crash

August 27, 2022

Terry County, TX (August 26, 2022) – A crash involving a school bus and a tractor-trailer semi occurred Friday morning, around 5:41 am. Texas Department of Public Safety reported that no children were on the bus.

At the intersection of Highway 62/82 and FM 211, a Levelland ISD bus traveling eastbound failed to yield the right of way and crashed with a tractor-trailer semi. 

The two employees on the school bus as well as the truck driver were taken to Brownfield Hospital to treat their minor injuries.

Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating if alcohol may have been involved in the crash.
