Head-on Collision Tractor-trailer in Lubbock Kills Two

Lubbock, Texas (2/3/2021) – At 9 AM, just outside of Loop 289, two tractor-trailers collided in a head-on collision.

Ernesto Aguilar, 57, was traveling in a tractor-trailer southeast on the 6900 block of Southeast Drive while Augustin Vasquez, 41, was traveling northwest when their vehicles collided.

Both Aguilar and Vasquez were taken to a nearby hospital where they later died.

The collision is still under investigation.
