Semi-Truck Accident Kills One, Injures Another In Midland
Midland, Texas (4/24/2021) – At around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday morning 27-year-old Anthony Luna and 41-year-old Antonio Perez Jr., both of Lubbock, were traveling in a Ford F150 south on state highway 349. Around this time, a semi-truck was exiting a private drive and turning south onto highway 349. The semi-truck had failed to yield the right away to the Ford F150 and the two vehicles collided.
The driver and passenger of the Ford F150 were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital. The driver, Anthony Luna, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries while the passenger, Antonio Perez Jr., was pronounced deceased after arrival. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
At this time it appears all 3 occupants of the vehicles were wearing seat belts and the accident is still under investigation.
