Investigation Launched by DPS After School Bus and Semi-Truck Collide in Muleshoe

Muleshoe, Texas (9/14/2020) – A crash on US-84 is being investigated by emergency crews after a semi-truck collided into the back of a school bus. The accident occurred west of Muleshoe around 4:40 pm.

According to reports, the school bus was stopped on the east-bound side of US-84. As they were unloading passengers, a semi-truck, also traveling east, failed to slow down and hit the back end of the bus as well as another vehicle and a van.

The bus driver and two children were transported to a local hospital and are being treated for minor injuries. The truck driver and drivers of the van and other car did not sustain any injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation.
