1 Ropes ISD Student Dead, Another Injured In Rollover Near Wolfforth
Wolfforth, TX (Jan 31, 2023) – Tuesday morning, authorities responded to a rollover crash involving two Ropes ISD students that occurred on Hwy. 62/82 near Wolfforth around 9:10 a.m.
Officers said the 18-year-old driving the vehicle lost control and hit a “slick patch” on the CR 1300 overpass. The vehicle came to a stop in the center median of the highway after rolling.
The driver was transported to Covenant Hospital in Lubbock with serious injuries. The other student died in the crash.
