3 Killed, 2 Injured in Deadly Ector County Car Crash

Ector County, Texas (July 11, 2022) – Monday night, 3 people were killed and 2 were injured in a crash that occurred at the intersection of Highway 302 and FM 1936.

Texas Department of Public Safety has released the names of those who were killed and injured in the crash.

Those who were injured drove a 2017 Ford F-350. The driver, Adan Castillo-Venzor, 26, and passenger, Israel Gonzalez-Nunez, 40, were transported to Medical Center Hospital where they are in stable condition.

In the 2015 Chevy Malibu were the driver, Keethan James Gould, 40, and the two passengers Angel A. Rico DeLeon, 27, and David Saenz-Cera, 35.

The Ford F-350 failed to yield the right of way at a yield sign causing the Chevy Malibu to hit the truck. Those in the Chevy Malibu were pronounced dead at the scene. 

As the investigation continues, if more information is released about the crash, the story will be updated.
