One Person Dead After Three-Vehicle Crash in Odessa
Odessa, TX (September 20, 2021) — A three-vehicle crash killed one person on Monday night.
At 12:30 AM, the Odessa police received reports of a crash near the 4500 block of S. 385. The police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded.
The crash involved three vehicles: a Chevrolet Silverado, F-250, and Toyota Camry. Charles Mello, driving the Chevrolet, was traveling in the wrong direction on the highway and hit the F-250.
Mello, 49 of Odessa, died at the crash scene. Both individuals in the F-250, identified as Emmanuel Garza and Anabell Piñon, required hospital treatment. The three people inside the Toyota received medical treatment at the scene. Police identified them as Maria Arriaga, Aracely Arriaga and Daniel Arriaga.
The authorities have not released any more information about the collision.
