One Person Dead After Two-Vehicle Crash in Gaines County

GAINES COUNTY, TX (Oct 11, 2022) – Sunday morning, a 79-year-old woman was killed in a car crash that occurred on US 62.

Texas DPS reported that Patricia Wingo was driving southbound on US 62. The driver of a pickup truck, 21-year-old Brain Armendariz, was driving northbound and crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with Wingo on US 62.

Wingo was transported to Brownsfield Regional Medical Center where she later died. Armendariz was not injured in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
