Woman Dead and Child Injured in Car Crash at US 84 and FM 211

Garza County, Texas (April 22, 2022) – Around 9 a.m. on Friday morning, a 6-year-old passenger was injured and a woman died after a car crash at US 84 and FM 211. 

Texas DPS reported that Kimberly Meagan Craig and her passenger, a 6-year-old girl, were driving northbound on US 84 in a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of a pickup truck was in the center crossover at the intersection when they failed to yield the right of way and collided with the Tahoe on US 84.

Kimberly died during transportation to the hospital and the driver of the pickup suffered mild injuries. The child was treated at UMC and hospital officials say the child is alive and stable as of Saturday afternoon.

This crash is still under investigation.
